Chief Pharmacy Officer
Thomas J. Siepka, RPh, MS, FACHE
Tom Siepka leads and provides executive leadership for all of Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Pharmacy disciplines and business lines: Hospital, Infusion & Research, Retail/Outpatient, Clinical Ambulatory, ACO/PBM Pharmacy Services, Pharmacy Supply Chain/340B Programs and regional Pharmacy NEPC/NEAH programs spanning the Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Clinic sites across the organization and states. Additionally, he is responsible for and provides strategic oversight and direction of pharmacy programs across Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health and with the affiliate and member entities of the system.
Before joining D-H, Siepka was the pharmacy implementation manager and senior consultant for VHA Inc. (now known as Vizient), located in Irving, Texas. Vizient provides supply chain management services and promotes and supports the formation of regional member networks that allow health care organizations to collaborate. In that role, he served as a senior consultant within the performance services group pharmacy team. He was responsible for engaging with member and client organizations to optimize pharmacy administrative programs and system structure as well as optimizing operations and clinical practice for both pharmacy and hospital operations.
Siepka also served in the Lahey Health System as the executive director for Hospital Services for the Lahey Peabody Medical Center. In that role, he had oversight of all hospital services and operations for Lahey Medical Center, including the departments of Pharmacy, Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging (CT, Ultrasound, Diagnostic Radiology, Bone Density Center and 2 magnet MRI Center), Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory Services, Health Information Management, Supply Chain/Material Management, Physical and Occupational Therapy and Admissions. Prior to his executive operational role, Siepka served as the Director of Pharmacy Services for Lahey Health System pharmacy program as well as the director of Pharmacy Services for the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA, the flagship hospital for the health system. He had direct management and oversight of Lahey's pharmacy division in the Lahey Clinic System. This included managing the supply chain distribution and contracting for pharmacy and 21 Community Group Physician Practice sites and Clinics and overseeing the clinical relationships with Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Northeastern University Schools of Pharmacy and residency programs.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Allied Health Sciences, and a Master of Science in Leadership & Healthcare Management from Northeastern University. Siepka completed a year of Executive Leadership training with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) working with organizations such as Memorial Hermann, Scripps Health and the Disney Management Institute. Additionally, he has received and maintains Board Certification in Healthcare Management as a Fellow, FACHE, also with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
