Comprehensive Breast Program
At the heart of the Comprehensive Breast Program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester is a specialized team of experts in surgery, radiology and cancer treatment – all who are dedicated to working together for our patients. Our goal is to combine professional excellence and proven science and treatment methods with a commitment to individualized, compassionate, patient-centered care. Full coordination of your clinical evaluation, imaging and diagnostic testing enables us to expedite your care, thus preventing delay in diagnosis and treatment. From routine screening care, to treatment for benign breast disease and cancer, our patients benefit from the close collaboration between our providers.
Every patient seen in our program receives a complete evaluation, to include: review of prior imaging and biopsies; a clinical exam and consultation; ordering of additional imaging or testing if required; comprehensive review of all treatment options; risk assessment; instructions and demonstration of proper self-examination; and individualized follow-up to answer questions and guide you through any continuing care.
- Breast Imaging - From screening mammography to the full range of diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedures, we offer an individualized care plan for each of our patients.
- Breast Surgery - From treatment for benign breast disease to surgery for high risk lesions, our surgery team strives to treat you as a whole patient, not a disease or a number, and we strongly encourage patient and family participation in decision making and care. Our team is available to answer all your questions and concerns so that you can make an informed decision about your plan of care.
- Breast Cancer Care - Our comprehensive program is part of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center. If you receive a cancer diagnosis, our team will work with you to select a treatment plan that is right for you.
