UVSC/ARC Music Together©: Generations — Become a Musical Grandfriend!
Music Together© is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement curriculum where children (birth - 5 yrs) and the adults who love them engage in informal singing, chanting, moving, listening and instrument-playing activities that are developmentally appropriate for very young children. In Music Together© Generations, "Music Grandfriends" join the circle for the joyous music-making as well as for building meaningful interpersonal connections and musical relationships across the ages. Classes will take place at the D-H Aging Resource Center so that older adults can join these gatherings of parents and children. The class meets every Thursday from January 11 to March 22 (ten sessions no class on February 22) from 10:00 to 10:45am. There will be an open house on Thursday, January 4 from 10 to 10:45am.
Note: There is no cost for the older adults participating as "grandfriends," but we encourage a 10-week commitment to participate. Materials are NOT included or required, but can be purchase through Music Together©.
