The Department of General and Vascular Surgery specializes in the surgical treatment of a wide range of clinical conditions and surgical problems. These include:
- Treatments for disorders of the gastrointestinal (digestive) system, such as gallbladder surgery
- Treatments for disorders of the endocrine (hormonal) system, such as thyroid surgery
- Treatments for disorders of the vascular (blood vessel) system, such as peripheral vascular surgery
Other treatments include non-reconstructive breast surgery, hernia repair, and outpatient surgery of varicose veins. Some minor procedures (such as biopsies and excisions) are done in our office. The majority of all other surgeries are performed at Concord Hospital.
