The feet and ankles are made up of many bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The foot alone contains 28 bones and over 30 joints, while the ankle has 14 bones. A podiatrist is a doctor who specializes in caring for disorders of the foot, the ankle, and related body systems.
Our Podiatry Department treats patients with postural and/or foot abnormalities, short- and long-term conditions of the skin and musculoskeletal system, and sports-related injuries to the foot and leg.
