Kate Read Villars
Director, Development Communications & Volunteer Engagement
Kate joined the Office of Development in 2007 and has led the Development Communications team since 2011. In this role she designs and implements communications strategies to strengthen relationships with donors and alumni and foster growth in philanthropic support for Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Geisel School of Medicine. Kate serves on the Office of Development executive team and collaborates with communications offices across the academic medical center. Her previous experience includes eight years as community relations director at the Upper Valley Land Trust in Hanover, N.H., and 11 years with the Hanover-based Co-op Food Stores, where she led membership communications and marketing and played a key role in the successful opening of the Co-op’s Lebanon store in 1997. She is a Dartmouth College graduate.
