Stomach & Esophagus

The esophagus is a tube that carries food from your mouth to your stomach. What you eat gets mixed and mashed in the stomach, aided by juices that are created in the stomach's lining.

After a few hours, the stomach moves the food into the lower intestine, where the digestive process continues.
