The digestive system includes the esophagus (swallowing tube), the stomach, the intestines, the liver, the gallbladder, and the pancreas. The digestive system is also known as the gastrointestinal system.
Our Department of Gastroenterology examines patients with abdominal pain, and diagnoses and treats all digestive system disorders. Our primary focus is on the care of the adult patient.
The conditions we treat include:
- Chronic diarrhea
- Constipation
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Inflammatory bowel disease
