Local Firefighters Will Be Dressed for Success
February 11, 2010
Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD) at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, hosted a check passing on Thursday, February 11, 2010. The Dover Professional Firefighters Local 1312 and the Dover Fire Officers Local 2909 presented the funds to the NH Firefighters Team as part of the Third Annual CHaD Battle of the Badges presented by Bank of America. The funds will be used to purchase permanent professional quality uniforms for team use in future games, including March 28 at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Visit www.CHaDHockey.org for more event information.
As New Hampshire's only children's hospital, CHaD is proud to collaborate with Wentworth-Douglass Hospital to bring pediatric specialty services to the Seacoast region of New Hampshire. Housed in a 6,000-square-foot space, the CHaD at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a children's center for specialty medicine, opened in 2007 to serve the needs of children in the region. In addition to clinical care, this space also includes a family resource center that provides a quiet space for families, away from the medical environment, in which to relax, play games, and have access to valuable support and resources.
