Annie Matthew, MD Joins the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester Hospitalist Program at Catholic Medical Center
October 05, 2010
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester is pleased to announce the addition of hospitalist Dr. Annie Mathew, to the Hospitalist Program at Catholic Medical Center. Our hospitalists are Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester physicians that specialize specifically in the care of hospitalized patients at Catholic Medical Center.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock hospitalists at CMC are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our hospitalists communicate with a patient's primary care physician about medical history, medications and plan of care. The hospitalist also contacts a patient's primary care provider if there are any major changes in their medical status or treatment. When a patient is discharged, the hospitalist provides them with discharge instructions and arranges for any prescriptions they need. For follow-up treatment of their condition, the patient is encouraged to make an appointment with their primary care provider.
Dr. Mathew received her medical degree from the University Of Texas San Antonio Medical School in San Antonio, TX. She pursued a residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Texas-Houston in Houston, TX. Dr. Mathew is board- certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.
