D-H's Roberts named New England Health Care Engineer of the Year

Jona Roberts, CHFM, Engineering Manager at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire, has been selected as the 16th Engineer of the Year by the members of the New England Healthcare Engineers' Society (NEHES). He received this recognition during the Society's Annual Awards Banquet on October 4 during the NEHES Fall Conference in Springfield, Massachusetts. The award recognizes a member's contributions beyond their normal duties to their local state chapter, to NEHES, and to the facilities management profession.
Earlier this year, Mr. Roberts was also named the American Society for Healthcare Engineering's Emerging Leader from ASHE Region 1 (composed of New England, New York, parts of Canada, and the U.S. Territories), in recognition of his leadership skills and commitment to the field of health care facility management.
His volunteer service to the New Hampshire Society of Health Care Engineers (NHSHE) includes positions as Representative to the NEHES Board of Directors, member of the NHSHE Executive Board, and Founder and Chair of the annual Twin State Education Seminar. He served the NEHES Board of Directors as Scholarship Chair for three years and is now Education and Career Development Chair. He was recently elected the NEHES Secretary for 2013 at the NEHES annual members' meeting October 4 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
