Lost & found
- Weapons. We do not permit patients or visitors to carry or possess weapons. Weapons include firearms, knives, and mace. These must be left at home, secured in vehicles, or stored with the Security Department. Please page Security to have us lock up your weapons while on DHMC premises.
- Alcohol. Visitors are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages to the hospital.
- Smoking. DHMC is a completely smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. This is because smoking is a major health and safety hazard, both to smokers and to those near them. Smoking is not allowed inside or outside the buildings on the DHMC campus. This includes adjoining sidewalks to DHMC-owned or leased property, parking lots, and driveways that are used by DHMC. Individuals can only smoke inside their car if parked on campus, except in the parking garage. This policy applies to everyone. For information about quitting smoking, see our Tobacco Dependence Clinic website.
