Protecting Your Heart

In this video, Roxcy shares information about symptoms of a heart attack and keeping your heart healthy.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer among women and men.

Symptoms of a heart attack in women can be different from the ones that we know. While these are common symptoms of a heart attack for both men and women:

  • Chest pain
  • Arm pain
  • Back/jaw and neck pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Lightheadedness

For women it may also include:

  • Insomnia
  • Unusual fatigue

Plaque erosion can result in blood clots that can cause a more subtle stop to blood flow.

Don’t brush aside the symptoms. Pay attention to what you feel. It may seem silly to seek medical attention, but heart risk is very real.

So remember:

  • Eat healthy
  • Get active
  • Control your blood sugar
  • Watch your cholesterol
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Monitor your blood pressure
  • And live smoke free

So make smart choices and give a little love to your heart!
