10/25 Public Seasonal Flu Shot Clinic Cancelled, 10/18 Clinic Sets Record
October 20, 2009
Lebanon, NH --
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) has cancelled its upcoming October 25 free public flu shot clinic. The two remaining clinics scheduled for November 1 and November 14 are still going forward as planned, subject to the availability of vaccine.
At its most recent free public flu shot clinic on Sunday, October 18, concerns about shortages drew a record crowd and well over 6,000 free seasonal influenza shots were given out to the public. Since beginning these weekend clinics in mid-September, DHMC has provided more than 26,000 free seasonal flu vaccine shots to the public.
At this time, it is still unclear as to when we will receive enough H1N1 influenza vaccine from the government to begin offering public H1N1 clinics.
