About D-H

OUR MISSION:
We advance health through research, education, clinical practice and community partnerships, providing each person the best care, in the right place, at the right time, every time.

The Dartmouth-Hitchcock system is the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in northern New England. It includes a network of multi-specialty community group practices, and the nationally-recognized resources of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC).

DHMC is based in Lebanon, New Hampshire and is home to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD), and Norris Cotton Cancer Center. CHaD is New Hampshire's specialist children's hospital and the Norris Cotton Cancer Center has the distinction of being a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center. Both CHaD and the Norris Cotton Cancer Center provide services at some of our local Dartmouth-Hitchcock practices.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center includes Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic. Additionally, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock system incorporates all the community practices throughout New Hampshire. Dartmouth Medical School and the Veterans Affairs Medical and Regional Office Center in White River Junction, Vermont, are other key components of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock system.

For more information about the history of DHMC and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock system, visit DHMC's Our History page.
