Health Care Advocacy

New Hampshire State House

Advocacy and the legislative process

Dartmouth-Hitchcock is a stakeholder in health care public policy at the state, regional, and federal level. Our government relations team:

  • Represents D-H on public policy issues
  • Facilitates relationships with key government officials and agencies
  • Identifies opportunities for public policy involvement

The next few years will be very active with regard to both state and federal health care reform. We believe our staff, physicians, volunteers, and the public in general need to stay abreast of the trends that could affect Dartmouth-Hitchcock and our health care system as this reform process unfolds.

This site will keep you updated regarding state and national legislative issues that might affect you. It presents the facts as we know them, includes links to other websites where you can learn more, and provides contact information for legislative leaders.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health Supports NH Rocks the Vote

Young people will play a crucial role in this year's election.

Using their vote – some for the first time – young people have the opportunity to elect officials at the state and federal levels who will make decisions on the pressing issues that are important to, and will affect, them and their decision to stay in, or leave, New Hampshire.

In partnership with NH Rocks and supported by Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health and the League of Conservation Voters, Stay Work Play's NH Rocks the Vote initiative is a campaign to encourage young people across the Granite State to first register to vote and then use their right to do so to choose who they would like to represent them in Concord and in Washington.
