Carl "Trey" Dobson, MD

Dr. Trey Dobson is an Emergency Medicine Physician with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health. He has served as the Chief Medical Officer for Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and the Medical Director of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock practice in Bennington, Vermont since 2012.
Prior to entering a career in medicine, Dr. Dobson obtained a Masters in Geophysics from the University of Wyoming and worked to develop groundwater flow models using simulated computing methods. He then earned his Medical Degree at The University of Tennessee and completed residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Dobson's interests include simplifying and standardizing processes in medicine to create high reliability, selecting sustainable treatment options based on number needed to treat, and supporting work satisfaction among healthcare staff. He is currently the President of the Vermont Medical Society.
