DHMC Employee Writing Circle - Webex
DHMC Writing Circle for Staff - Webex
Please join other DHMC staff to write together with optional sharing. Writing Circle can be a way to process hard experiences - or to take a relaxing break from stress. Marv Klassen-Landis, our DHMC Creative Arts Team writer, will provide short prompts to get us started. We will write in silence for brief periods, and then read aloud (or keep our writing private if that feels better in the moment.) No experience necessary!
Marv will host the Writing Circle meetings via Web-ex. You can participate via video or phone on a "drop-in" basis. Come whenever you can, for as long or short a time as you choose.
There is no charge for any of these dates.
"How do I know what will come out of this pen if I don't put it to paper? My fear is that the tangled ball of thoughts in my head will be transported onto this page in all its dizzying confusion. But I forget what a magical conduit this pen can be - transforming my panic into calm as my mind is translated into a language I can understand." --a participant in the NCCC Writing Circles that Marv leads
Writing Circle Meeting Times: Thursdays 12-1:30p
- Sessions will begin Thursday, April 16 and Saturday, April 18
- We will be offering this for about the next three (3) months.
- This is a drop-in class, so you are not required or need to feel like you need to attend all of the sessions offered.
