Caring for Transition-Age Youth and Young Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder
This is a free event. Open to parents, caregivers, family members of individuals with autism spectrum disorder and support providers.
Individuals with autism spectrum disorder 12 years old and older are welcome to participate in the educational and/or recreational sessions.
At this educational event, you’ll hear from experts about how to best care for transition-age youth with autism spectrum disorder.
Topics will include:
- transitioning out of school
- finding employment and career tips
- understanding the use of psychotropic medications
- learning about sleep
- understanding the role of neuropsychological evaluations
