Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program Information Session

The Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program is designed to give trainees the knowledge and skills they need to embark upon a career in the Pharmacy. Up to 12 individuals will be selected and hired by Dartmouth-Hitchcock to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians in our Retail, Specialty or Inpatient Pharmacies in Lebanon, NH.

During the 9 week training period trainees earn college credits and an hourly training wage. At the end of the program students sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and are enrolled in a 2000 hour US DOL Registered Apprenticeship. The starting salary for Apprentices upon graduation is $17.00 per hour.

This full-time, hands-on training program includes both classroom and on-the-job training. Courses offered include Pharmacology, Processing and Handling of Medications and Medication Orders, Procurement, Billing, Reimbursement, Healthcare Professional Communication and Patient & Medication Safety.
