I'm on a mission to change the conversation about mental illness.John Broderick
Over the last 3½ years, John Broderick has spoken to more than 100,000 high school and college students, business leaders and their employees, senior citizens, and veterans, sharing his family's experience with the devastating impacts of mental illness. He has driven more than 80,000 miles—crisscrossing New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts—on a mission to improve understanding and awareness of mental illness, to eliminate its stigma, and to encourage discussion.
“This is the most important and meaningful work of my career,” says the former Chief Justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
The Broderick Family Endowment
The Broderick Family Endowment is dedicated to furthering Justice Broderick’s efforts to shine a light on mental illness and addiction in our communities. These illnesses are common, painful, often disabling, and sometimes deadly – but highly treatable. Yet too often discrimination and lack of easy access to effective care create barriers to recovery and employment. Your gift to the Broderick Family Endowment will extend John’s work by supporting community education and advocacy efforts to overcome the stigma of mental illness.
