Post-Pregnancy Loss Resources

Pregnancy loss of any kind can provoke feelings of loss and sadness. Additionally, as pregnancy hormones decrease, you may also experience emotional changes. It is normal to feel relieved, positive and perhaps even happy to get back to normal activities. It is also normal to feel sad, mildly depressed or moody for a week or so. If you have feelings of depression or grief that continue and impact your daily functioning, we encourage you to seek help. Your local obstetrician and gynecologist will have a list of resources that are regional to you. You may also call us for a follow up appointment. We will coordinate your care within Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with our team of social workers, chaplains and mental health practitioners.
