Electives in Infectious Disease are available for Geisel School of Medicine students and residents at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Faculty members author numerous chapters in leading textbooks of medicine and pediatrics.

Graduate Medical Education
The Section has an accredited 2-3 year program of subspecialty fellowship training in Infectious Diseases of children and adults, including opportunities in a Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency (including an MPH degree), as well as domestic and international research opportunities.

The Section has a multi-faceted and longstanding collaboration with the Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences (MUCHS) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania known as the DARDAR Program. Current programs include clinical trials in HIV-associated tuberculosis (DARDAR Vaccine Study), an HIV treatment program for children (DARDAR Pediatric Program) and a Fogarty Grant that provides HIV research training for Tanzanian physicians and other health professionals.
Regional and faculty development training
The New Hampshire AIDS Education and Training Program provides on-site and conference based training in HIV treatment for physicians and other health professionals in New Hampshire and Vermont.
New England AIDS Education and Training Center for NH
The New England AIDS Education and Training Center for New Hampshire is based in the Infectious Disease Section. The New Hampshire AETC is part of the greater NEAETC located in Boston, Mass. The center's focus is to sponsor and conduct educational programs, and provide technical assistance and consultative services to health care providers caring for patients with and individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Speakers for the conferences are selected from specialists and faculty at DHMC and DMS, as well as guest faculty from outside the area depending on the conference topic.
