The field of Neurovascular Therapeutics encompasses both surgical and catheter based approaches to blood vessel diseases of the brain and spine in adults and children. At Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center our emphasis is on comprehensive evaluation, treatment and long term management of these conditions. Additionally, our support group meets on a regular basis and offers counseling and conversation with many experts in the field both before and after treatment. With the J.B. Marshall Laboratory for Neurovascular Therapeutics, we are dedicated to clinical investigations and translational research as a means for education and technical advancement in the treatment of these disorders. Dr. Robert J. Singer is subspecialty trained and lead the program, which is an integral part of the Stroke Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
Dr. Singer has also partnered with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Center for Telehealth, which offers neurovascular telemedicine consults, an acute consult service and a "Virtual Aneurysm Clinic," a direct-to-patient virtual visit service.
Conditions we treat include:
- Arteriovenous fistulas
- Arteriovenous malformations (AVM)
- Carotid stenosis
- Cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM)
- Developmental venous anomalies (DVA)
- Vein of Galen malformations
