Prenatal Diagnosis Program
Your first appointment
Depending upon your medical history, your first appointment in the prenatal diagnosis program may include an in-depth consultation and/or an ultrasound. This appointment may take as long as three hours. Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment so you have time to register and complete medical questionnaires.
If you are receiving prenatal care from a place other than DHMC or Dartmouth-Hitchcock Heater Road, we must have a copy of all of your prenatal records and any other important medical information before your first appointment.
Cost of our services
Many insurance companies cover most of the services we provide. Some insurance companies require that you have a referral from another doctor before visiting specialists such as those in the Prenatal Diagnosis Program team. Please check with your insurance company to see if you need a referral before your first appointment.
