Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care
For two decades, Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Palliative Care Program has been providing comprehensive, medically advanced care for life-limiting illnesses that is driven by the values and preferences of patients and their families, not medical interventions. Now, Dartmouth-Hitchcock is expanding both the access to and offerings of its palliative care service through the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care.
The Jack Byrne Center, scheduled to open in 2017, is more than an inpatient hospice facility. It will also be a hub for programs and services that support home hospice providers and lay caregivers, and for education and research focused on elevating care for life-limiting illnesses in our region and beyond.
