Multidisciplinary Pancreas Tumor Clinic
Pancreatic cancer is a complex disease requiring care from multiple providers. Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer is often diagnosed when the disease is already advanced. The Multidisciplinary Pancreas Tumor Clinic offers treatment options in as little as one week from diagnosis.
The clinic allows you to see multiple experts involved in your treatment planning in one location during one visit. Prior to the clinic, there is a board review meeting of which all these experts review each case and discuss the best treatment options for managing your care. You then meet with all the providers involved in your care to discuss treatment plans and to plan for the first treatment or surgery.
Pancreatic Tumor Clinic specialists include gastroenterologists, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, surgical oncologists, palliative care specialist, and oncologist dietitians. A dedicated pancreatic nurse coordinator assists you through this clinic and acts as a liaison for your needs thereafter.
