Adult Outpatient Services

Adult outpatient services offered by the Department of Psychiatry include:

  • Anxiety Disorders Service is devoted to clinical care, research, and training in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders.
  • Behavioral Medicine offers state-of-the-art behavioral treatment for problems related to pain, headache, chronic illness, stress, and insomnia.
  • Individual Placement and Support for People with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Disabilities is an evidence-based program designed to help people living with disabilities find meaningful jobs and provide ongoing supports for success.
  • Mood Disorders Service specializes in the evaluation, treatment and study of mood disorders. The most common forms of these illnesses are major depression, bipolar disorder and dysthymia.
  • Neuropsychological Testing is a way of measuring different kinds of abilities such as problem solving, attention, memory, language, and motor skills. Testing can often benefit those with Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, head trauma, nervous system infection, attention deficit disorders and learning disorders.
  • Psychopharmacology Services works in conjunction with clinics and various services to provide treatment and comprehensive evaluation.
  • Psychotherapy Services offers several types of therapy services including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, dupportive therapy, family therapy.
