Our Cardiac Surgery program is part of a collaborative team-based healthcare system. Our team includes cardiologists and other heart specialists. We work together to provide the best care for you.
We work with cardiovascular medicine to run tests and create a healthcare plan to fit your needs. This includes the latest robotic technology for mitral valve surgery and coronary artery bypass surgery.
Our team reviews each surgery performed with a data coordinator. We then share the results with the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. This helps us compare our care to national standards and continue providing safe, high-quality care.
We are also a founding member of the Northern New England Cardiovascular Disease Study Group. This group consists of 10 hospitals working to improve heart surgery. The following groups also support our program:
