The Urology Section provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for urologic disorders in adults. Services are offered at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, as well as various sites in New Hampshire (Lebanon [Alice Peck Day Hospital], Keene, New London, and Claremont) and Vermont (Bennington and Springfield). These regional sites are staffed by Dartmouth-Hitchcock-affiliated providers. The Veteran’s Hospital in White River Junction, VT, is also affiliated with and staffed by Dartmouth-Hitchcock urologists.
For more details about our locations, please see our More Appointment Information page.
The section coordinates the multidisciplinary management of diverse urological conditions. For example, genitourinary neoplasms are managed in conjunction with radiation oncology and hematology/oncology, through the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, emphasizing the latest techniques of organ sparing treatment and functional preservation. Female pelvic floor reconstruction is an integrated program involving urology, gynecology, and physical therapy. Patients with kidney stones are treated and counseled by a team of urologists, nephrologists and nutritionists in a multidisciplinary kidney stone clinic. Finally, challenging genitourinary reconstruction cases are treated collaboratively by urology, plastic surgery, and other services.
