Occupational and Environmental Medicine

Occupational and Environmental Medicine enhances the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care, disability management, research, and education.

With expertise in both prevention and treatment of work-related conditions, we offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of the community workforce, providing comprehensive and prompt quality medical care to employers and their employees.

Understanding the complex interaction between work and personal health, as well as work injury, our program has developed an approach to manage the overall health of a workforce and their families. Our providers serve as an important liaison between employer, employee, government, and all components of the health care system – understanding the needs and challenges of each of these diverse groups. Acting as advocates for health promotion and health protection, our providers provide a unique bridge between the clinical/scientific medical community and the business-based employer community.
