My patients and I explore their problems and discuss how we can best treat them. Whether that means lifestyle changes, surgical interventions or medical therapies, we decide together the treatment plan that best fits their needs.

The cardiovascular medicine department of Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Nashua, part of Dartmouth Health’s Heart and Vascular Center, has expanded its roster of providers with the addition of a new cardiologist. Zhihang Zhang, MD, joins Richard M. Hayes, MD, and Albana Liti, MSN, APRN, in cardiology at the 2300 Southwood Drive clinic, and is now accepting patients.

Zhang attended medical school at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, and completed a residency in cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. His areas of focus include general non-invasive cardiology, coronary artery disease, stress testing, valvular heart disease, heart failure, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Zhang is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

“My patients and I explore their problems and discuss how we can best treat them. Whether that means lifestyle changes, surgical interventions or medical therapies, we decide together the treatment plan that best fits their needs,” Zhang said. “I am extremely detail-oriented and thorough. I always give my patients the time they need to discuss their issues. I make sure they understand their disease processes and how we plan to help them navigate their disease.”
