Collaboration for Healthcare Delivery Student Projects

Students engaged in required project courses at the Thayer School of Engineering and the Tuck School of Business have been conducting projects at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) and the White River Veterans Association Hospital (WRVA) for several years.

At Thayer, a summer-long project is a required part of the Masters in Engineering Management program. At Tuck, projects are required of all MBA students in the spring of their first year. In 2011 this relationship was formalized with the creation of a joint Steering Committee including representatives of each of the participating institutions. The role of the Steering Committee is to assist interested parties at DHMC and the WRVA to propose attractive projects, and to help all three institutions coordinate their efforts around student projects.
