The Pediatric Otolaryngology department at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) provides patient information sheets. These information sheets describe care and post-operative instructions for many conditions, tests, and procedures, including:
- Airway endoscopy procedures (diagnostic airway endoscopy, supraglottoplasty for laryngomalacia, and operative airway endoscopy)
- Common ear procedures (ear tubs, mastoidectomy, tympanosmastoidectory, and tympanoplasty)
- Common pharyngeal procedures (tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy)
- Nasal and sinonasal procedures (shoanal atresia repair, sinus surgery, and septoplasty)
- Nasal hygiene with saline and steroid nasal sprays
- Nosebleeds
- Removal of thyroglossal duct cyst (Sistrunk procedure)
