Targeted Seminars and Workshops

The Academic Support Hub offers a wide range of seminars, gatherings, and workshops to help foster communication and ideas for researchers.

The Greenhouse community

The Greenhouse is a community of doctorally prepared nurses and doctoral nursing students within Dartmouth Health. We hold a monthly meeting from 12:15 to 1:00 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Presenters facilitate discussions and presentations on topics related to developing scholarship and career development for doctorally prepared nurses within our network. Please send us any suggestions for topics/speakers you would like to see. These are offered virtually.

If you are interested in being added to the Greenhouse mailing list, or have suggestions for upcoming topics/speakers, please contact Academic.Support@hitchcock.org.

Applied Research Methods Seminar

The Applied Research Methods Seminar meets monthly and includes interactive presentations on a variety of topics relevant to new researchers. Speakers are invited to attend the seminar and present on their expertise as it relates to the topic. ASH also holds more extensive quarterly workshops on broader topics, supplemented by hour long seminars in the following two months.

The seminar takes place on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, or 12:00 to 1:30 pm for quarterly seminars. Seminars are offered virtually.

If you would like to learn more about the Applied Research Methods Seminar, please contact Academic.Support@hitchcock.org.

Other educational opportunities

Ideas in Progress workshop

The Ideas in Progress workshop series is designed to give new clinician researchers a forum to freely discuss their research ideas in the developing or formative phases in order to exchange ideas, obtain constructive feedback, and discuss common issues and challenges. Potential topics for presentation may include: early-stage research ideas, grant proposal development, early findings of currently funded work, and more.

Each set of workshops is purposely limited to a small number of participants. Please contact us at Academic.Support@hitchcock.org to discuss scheduling options.
