Donating blood is one of the greatest gifts you can give and now you can support local businesses and earn cool rewards when you donate!
Every time you donate blood, platelets, or plasma at the Blood Donor Program, you earn points! Points are redeemable for rewards from local businesses. For example, you can earn a small ice cream at Fore-U, or gift cards to places like Dazzle Cupcakes, West Lebanon Feed & Supply, LaValley Building Supply, Trail Break Taps & Tacos, and much more! The more you donate, the more you earn! It is that easy. You help build a sustainable blood supply for our community with your life-saving donation, while supporting local businesses, and earning cool prizes. Talk about local sustainability!
Here's how it works
How do I become a member of the Donor Rewards Program?
You can create an online account, about 24 hours after your donation. If you haven’t donated yet, go ahead and schedule an appointment online or contact us.
How do I earn points?
Just by creating an account, you earn 25 points.
- Earn 10 points every time you schedule and keep an appointment made online.
- Whole Blood donation is 200 points.
- Plasma donation is 150 points.
- Single Platelet donation is 150 points.
- Double Platelet donation is 200 points.
- Triple Platelet donation is 250 points.
Can I still earn points if I attempt to donate, but am deferred?
Yes! We are incredibly grateful every time you walk in the door to donate. If you attempt to donate and are deferred, you can still earn 25 points.
Do my points expire?
Yes. If you do not donate, or attempt to donate, in a period of 6 months your points will expire.
How soon after my donation will my points appear?
Your points should appear within 72 hours after your donation. If you do not see your points after 3 days, please contact us.
How do I redeem my points?
When you log on to your account, you will be brought to a welcome page. To redeem your points, choose the “online store” icon in the center of the page. There are various local businesses, which you can redeem your rewards with. The number of points you have available to redeem will be shown at the top of the page (above the icons). Choose one of the business icons to redeem your rewards.
When should I expect my reward after I redeem my points?
Once you redeem your points, you will be asked to verify your mailing address and your reward will be mailed to you within 3 to 4 weeks.
Can I transfer my points to someone else?
No. These points are one of the ways that we thank you for saving lives through your donation.
Can I give points back to the program or donate them to a non-profit?
YES! The Blood Donor Program is a huge advocate for local sustainability. If you would like to give your points back to the program or donate them to a local non-profit, please contact us and one of our staff members will help coordinate this!
