About our teams
We are comprised of the following types of attendants, who work together to provide you with quality, individualized care:
- Attending physicians are in charge of coordinating your plan of care, and working with other physicians, nurses, and care providers.
- Residents are physicians who work with the Attending Physician to decide the best plan for your care.
- Advanced practice clinicians are physician assistants and nurse practitioners who are also in charge of coordinating your plan of care and working with physicians, nurses, and the Emergency Medicine team.
- Nurses are your immediate resource in the plan of your care and are specially trained to care for you.
- Patient care technicians work with the nurses in caring for you.
- Volunteers are available in the Emergency Department and the waiting area to answer general questions.
- Consulting physicians are called, if necessary, to see you in the Emergency Department for consultation.
