ALS Center Treatments and Services

Multidisciplinary ALS care

Although there is no cure available for ALS, there are FDA-approved medications (riluzole, edaravone, tofersen), which extend survival and/or slow progression of weakness. There are also other treatments to manage complications of the disorder.

The gold standard of care for ALS patients is management at a multidisciplinary ALS clinic, where patients and families can get information and be evaluated by multiple specialists in one afternoon. Our ALS clinic has a large and experienced ALS care team all dedicated to caring for people living with ALS.
