DHART Training Courses

Request a ground safety course or other training

DHART currently offers three types of courses:

Course attendees at a DHART training program — DHART offers training courses for those involved in selecting and preparing the landing the zone for DHART aircraft, and for those who will transfer care to a DHART team.

Ground Safety: This training is for fire, EMS, and police agencies that select and prepare landing zones for an aircraft. The course covers principles of safe site selection and communication with the aircraft. If available, a DHART aircraft will be sent to the training location.
Safe Transfer of Care: This training is for EMS and hospital providers who will transfer care to a DHART team. The course discusses DHART team configuration, skills, and resources provided. It also covers principles of team communication.
Other educational offerings: We also provide training on a variety of topics for EMS providers, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physicians. If available and applicable to the training, a DHART aircraft will be sent to the training location.
