Orthopaedics Appointments and Referrals

New patients

When you visit us, we will evaluate your pain or injury and provide consultation on the best plan for treatment. At your first appointment, we will make an evaluation of your condition and make recommendations for further testing that may be necessary. We treat many conditions through non-surgical means. It is our philosophy that, whenever possible, you should first try non-surgical treatment options before considering surgery.

Note: Some health insurance policies require that you have a referral from your family doctor (primary care provider, or PCP) to make an appointment. Please review your health insurance coverage before calling for an appointment.

Returning patients

If you are a returning patient, you may use myDH to communicate securely with your providers, request or change appointments, review your medical record, and more.

No show, late, and cancellation policy

Clinic appointments are scheduled to help patients improve or maintain health. If you don't show up for an appointment, it may pose a risk to your health. If you arrive late for an appointment, it affects the schedule for the clinic, other patients, providers, and staff.

It is your responsibility to:

  • Arrive for the scheduled appointment on time. Late patients may need to be rescheduled.
  • Notify us if you need to cancel an appointment. Please notify us as early as possible so that we can reschedule the appointment and make your time available to other patients. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please contact us so that we can work with you to reschedule your appointment.
