Facility charge: This is a charge for using the facility to perform a service at one of our locations. If the charge is listed as N/A, there is no charge for the use of the facility for that service. Some services listed can also be done by our providers at local hospitals. Other hospitals may charge their own facility fee. Please contact the hospital directly to get facility charge information.
Hospital-based ambulatory service (HBAS) charge: A charge based on a classification system for billing that identifies services provided in one of our offices. This includes charges in all doctors' offices at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Concord, Manchester, and Nashua.
Professional charge: Charges for services provided by a salaried staff physician or another provider (nurse practitioner or physician assistant), which are billed by our Group Practice.
