This program is for physicians and nurses working in trauma, including information on how to transfer a patient to our trauma center.
The Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) Trauma program:
- Provides information on transferring patients for providers in the field
- Coordinates activities of physicians, nurses, and emergency medical services
- Monitors outcomes for continual improvement in quality of care
- Maintains a database of trauma care at DHMC
We depend on collaboration with outside hospitals to improve trauma care. We sponsor the continuing education of trauma professionals and provide leadership in prevention and public education. We are committed to providing the best trauma care through a comprehensive performance improvement program and an organized research effort to help direct new innovations in trauma care.
