In 2016, the general care surveillance systems was upgraded to expand on bedside deterioration detection capabilities.
The upgrade included:
- Device integration for EMR data capture.
- ADT integration with barcode admit/discharge.
- Integrated blood pressure and temperature sensors.
- Wireless monitoring.
- Bedside trends and ability to add data for EMR integration.
Results from this upgrade include high staff satisfaction ratings, increased availability and accuracy of patient information, reduced average vital signs data collection time by 28% and increased patient monitoring time.
