Security Services

The Parking and Security Department provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, and students at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

We can help you change a flat tire, jump start or unlock your car, help you locate a lost item in the lost and found, or assist you in many other ways.

We are always available to assist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please feel free to contact us anytime.

Policies

  • Weapons. We do not permit patients or visitors to carry or possess weapons. Weapons include firearms, knives, and mace (pepper spray). Please leave all of your weapons at home. Thank you.
  • Alcohol. Visitors are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages to the hospital.
  • Smoking. Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is a completely smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. This is because smoking is a major health and safety hazard, both to smokers and to those near them. Smoking is not allowed inside or outside the buildings on the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center campus.
This includes adjoining sidewalks to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center-owned or leased property, parking lots, and driveways that are used by Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Individuals can only smoke inside their car if parked on campus, except in the parking garage. This policy applies to everyone. For information about quitting smoking, see our Tobacco Dependence Clinic website.
