Hitchcock Foundation Registered Nurse (RN) Grants

The purpose of the Registered Nurse Grant is to contribute to the professional development of Dartmouth Health registered nurses by encouraging them to complete research or quality improvement projects within their areas of expertise.

Proposals from all departments and disciplines are welcome. Preference will be given to projects that address one of the 6 Institute of Medicine (IOM) quality domains of health care: safety, effectiveness, person-centeredness, timeliness, equity or efficiency. 

Eligibility

Individuals meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply:

  • Registered nurse with a valid New Hampshire or Vermont registered nurse license
  • Full or part-time employee of Dartmouth Health
  • Committed to Dartmouth Health and its patients as evidenced by one (1) year of continuous employment. 

Each applicant will engage a mentor from within Dartmouth Health to help develop and guide the project.

Two $10,000 RN grants will be awarded each year. Applicants may only be listed as PI or Co-PI on one application per cycle.
