Our team provides physical medicine and rehabilitation services at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics (DHC) Heater Road and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). We're comprised of:


Occupational therapists

Our occupational therapists and assistants have either a Bachelor's or Master's degree and are licensed to provide care in the clinic or the hospital. Occupational therapy helps you when your daily function or activities are affected by either a physical or mental illness. Our occupational therapy staff hold various certifications, including:

  • CHT: Certified hand therapist
  • COTA: Certified occupational therapy assistant
  • CWCE: Certified wheelchair evaluator

Physical therapists

Our Physical Therapists (PTs) hold a professional degree, which has evolved over the years from a Bachelor’s to a Master’s and is currently a Clinical Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. All PTs pass the state licensure examination to obtain a license to practice. Our Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) hold associate degrees and state licensure. Speech-language pathologists

Our speech-language pathologists hold a master's degree, a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and a clinical license to practice in New Hampshire. Speech-language pathology can help with disorders that affect your speech, your ability to speak or understand language, your voice, your mental processing, and your ability to swallow. Our speech-language pathology staff hold various specialty certifications including:
