To be considered for admission to the Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain an unencumbered PA or NP license in the state of New Hampshire once admitted to the program
- Must have an active national certification as a PA or NP
- NP candidates must be registered as a Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) or be actively enrolled in an RNFA program with a completion date prior to the program start.
- Must have a DEA registration for controlled substances
- Successful completion of the application and interview process
- Successful completion of criminal background check and a urine drug screen, as part of the final candidates' pre-employment requirements
Any offer of acceptance is contingent upon the successful completion of the standard pre-employment checks and clinical credentialing process by the final candidates before matriculation.
