Bayada Hospice, Norwich, Vermont

Bayada Hospice provides ongoing support for family and friends of those whom we have served as hospice patients. This includes memorial services for individuals and special times of remembrance that include patients and the community. In addition, Bayada provides education and outreach through short-term, one-on-one counseling and occasional groups.

Compassionate Friends of the Upper Valley, West Lebanon, New Hampshire

When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family. This group currently meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Kilton Public Library, 80 Main Street, West Lebanon, NH.

Connecticut Valley Homecare and Hospice, Newport, New Hampshire

Connecticut Valley Homecare and Hospice offers one-on-one bereavement services to its clients and their families. A bereavement support group is held on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:00 am and is open to the entire community.

Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services

Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services offers a virtual bereavement support group via Zoom on Tuesdays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Registration is required.

Lake Sunapee Region VNA and Hospice, New London, New Hampshire

In addition to the grief support offered to the families of its hospice patients, Lake Sunapee VNA provides virtual bereavement support groups to the community.

Living Through Loss: Grief Support Group, Randoph, Vermont

This weekly group is open to anyone who has experienced loss. The group meets every Friday, from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Gifford Medical Center Chapel, 44 South Main Street, Randolph, VT 05060.

Facilitated by the Rev. Timothy Eberhardt, Spiritual Care Coordinator at Gifford Medical Center. There is no religious component to the group apart from a Serenity Prayer to close each meeting. Anyone who has experienced a significant loss and is looking to gain comfort and support from fellow community members experiencing loss is warmly invited to attend. Please enter through the hospital’s main entrance. Free, drop-in group, no insurance required, and a virtual option is available.

Palliative care grief and loss support

As a Palliative Care team, we are always adapting and creating new programming with you in mind.  

We continue to hold and plan support groups and other bereavement programs.

Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire (VNH)

In addition to the grief support offered to the families of hospice patients, VNH offers grief support through individual counseling and through grief support groups, both short-term and ongoing.

A grief support group is held every Thursday at 4:30 pm in the First Congregational Church in Springfield, Vermont, and is open to the entire community.
