Sports Conditioning Program

Looking to get back to your sport after a lower-body injury or surgery?

Take the final step in your recovery with our Sports Conditioning Program. We designed this program specifically for:

  • High school and collegiate athletes
  • Anyone attempting to return to high-level sports after a lower-body injury

What is sports conditioning?

Even after they meet traditional rehabilitation milestones, athletes recovering from a significant injury or surgery may continue to experience deficits in strength, power, and neuromuscular function. Our sports conditioning program helps address these deficits and bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation and a return to competition.

Our program includes:

  • Targeted training in small groups with other athletes
  • Two one-hour sessions per week for 10 weeks
  • Instruction led by expert sports physical therapists at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC)
  • Sessions and exercises uniquely tailored to the demands of your sport

Is this program for you?

You might benefit from sports conditioning if you:

  • Are in the late stages of rehab after a lower-body injury or surgery
  • Are preparing to return to competitive athletics (high school, college, or club)
  • Need additional conditioning that prepares you for the movements and requirements of your sport
  • Are motivated by training in a small group atmosphere
  • Can attend two afternoon sessions each week for 10 weeks

What’s great about this program?

Our mission is to empower you with the guidance, confidence, and sport-specific training that you need to return to competition at the highest possible level while minimizing your risk for reinjury.

  • The program is led by expert sports physical therapists at DHMC.
  • Our small group sessions ensure you receive personalized guidance and support.
  • We offer sessions three times a year to help you prepare for fall, winter, or spring sports.
