Prescription pickup lockers offer a safe and convenient way for you to fulfill your prescriptions after you're discharged from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC).

If you are interested in picking up your prescriptions at the lockers, please tell your care team, and they will share more information on how and where to pick up your medications. You'll receive an email or a text message when your prescriptions are being processed by the pharmacy.

Prescription pickup locker location

The prescription pickup lockers are located in the Patient Pavilion down the hall from the discharge lounge, next to the entrance and information desk.

How will I know when my prescription is ready?

When your prescription is ready, the pharmacy will text or email you a link with a QR Code and a unique pickup code. The message will also include information about how to pay for your prescription.

Can I pay for my prescription at the lockers?

Yes. You can pay for your prescription with a credit card or mobile pay. This service has no additional fees, and you will pay the same copays, if applicable.

What medications can I get through the prescription pickup lockers?

Almost all medications that we stock in our pharmacy can be dispensed through the lockers, as there are refrigerated lockers for medications that require refrigeration.

Can I pick up new prescriptions at the lockers?

Yes, you can pick up new prescriptions from the lockers—you will be prompted to speak with a pharmacist to answer any questions you may have.

Can someone else pick up my medications for me?

Yes, a family member or friend can pick up your medications. They will need your name, date of birth, and QR code or unique pick-up code.

Getting your prescriptions from the lockers

Using the lockers is easy! Just follow the steps below.

  1. Scan QR code
    Use the prescription locker scanner to scan the unique bar code from your email or text message. You can also enter your unique pick-up code on the prescription locker touchscreen to access your order.
  2. Enter Date of Birth
    Use the touchscreen to enter the person's date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY).
  3. Pay for your prescription
    Enter a credit card or use mobile pay to complete the payment.
  4. Consult with a pharmacist
    Private and convenient consultations are available when you are picking up your order. Consultations are available via video conference or telephone by a pharmacist at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Pharmacy at Centerra by calling 603-308-3788.
  5. Pickup your prescription
    The compartment door will open, and you may take your prescriptions. Remember to close the doors.
